We’re excited to share the preliminary results from the 2026 Project Salina Food Drive! Since May 1, our community has donated more than 18,000 food items and contributed over $100,000 in cash donations—and contributions are still coming in.
While food donation totals were slightly lower than last year, the generosity shown through cash donations has been extraordinary. Blue Beacon contributed more than $91,000, and the City of Salina donated over $10,000. These incredible gifts have the Board absolutely thrilled.
Cash donations are every bit as important as food donations because they allow local agencies to continue meeting food needs long after this large influx of donated products has been distributed. Thanks to the generosity of our community, these funds will help sustain agencies and the people they serve for months to come.
There is no deadline for cash donations, so if you have not yet delivered your contribution to the bank, there is still time. Scroll down for instructions on how to submit your cash donations.
If your business still has food items that need to be picked up, please email us at projectsalina@gmail.com, and we will coordinate with a Board member to collect the product and deliver it to participating agencies for distribution.
Thank you for your incredible support of this year’s drive. Your generosity makes a real difference for individuals and families who rely on Project Salina and our partner agencies for assistance. We truly could not do this without you.
With gratitude,
Project Salina Board Members
